Kennington Armchair Olive Green

Of the Kennington chairs, the olive green is the one people stop on. The cloth is a deep, slightly grey-green olive; the frame is pale ash. That contrast is most of the appeal.

It can carry a living room as the one bold seat, or sit quietly in a bedroom corner doing very little. Olive likes the company of bare wood and cream paint. Put a plant near it and it looks better still.

Both cushions come out and the covers unzip, so washing them is a five-minute job. The frame only asks for a wipe now and then, and the seat a vacuum.

If it needs softening, a cushion with some texture does it. It arrives assembled, ready to dress and sit in the same evening.
